Well was just going to pack it up tonight when I found this video link and thought I would post it before Tuesday!
As you know Super Tuesday will almost be upon us . I am supporting Mike Huckabee because he is the better candidate than Romney or McCain. Romney will never be able to unite the party against a Democrat candidate except if it ends up to be Hillary. While the Republican elitists are so sure that candidate will be Hillary, what if it isn’t? I not sure they have given much thought to that and if they have, their man Romney will not be a believable candidate next to Obama. In addition, I don’t think Romney will be able to unite the evangelicals in the party to come out and vote for him like they did for GW, especially if there is not Hillary threat to contend with! McCain might be able to pull that off with a Huckabee Vice President nomination or vice versa. Once the elites would recover from their huge case of denial in a Romney loss, the only realistic candidate that would be left standing that could face a Hillary or an Obama candidacy would be former Governor Mike Huckabee. Huckabee has already defeated the Clinton machine and knows what to expect. Huckabee’s innovative policies and compassionate message could be the very thing that would draw votes away from Hillary. Why do you think that the Democrats are just dying for a Romney to go up against them, not to mention using his Mormon religion to scare people to the polls. In the case of Obama, Huckabee is the only one that can compete in the area of policy and communication, something that he does better than McCain and Romney with the added element of conveying trust which neither one of the other candidates can convincingly pull off with the public. So you see the party elites aren’t as smart and forward thinking as they would have people to believe.
To be honest, if Mike hadn’t had to fight an uphill battle with a paid-for Romney Bain Capital/Clear Channel conservative marginalization machine, people would have had a little more time before Tuesday to know Mike but because the elite conservatives are running scared for more than one reason, their clever scheming has unwittingly painted them into a corner which may cost all of us. They don’t have to pin that one on Huckabee, they may be the ones to blame for leaving us all in the mess! If they had been smarter, they would have given Huckabee a fair shake along with McCain and Romney. In giving fair treatment to their campaigns, letting things work themselves out without trying to arrogantly manipulate the primary outcomes, they could have had a viable plan B candidate like Huckabee to go up against Hillary or Obama.
Mike has had to be the “little engine that could.” Running a campaign on a shoe string budget, (a miracle story in itself), bringing a clear message that resonates with the average guy, and developing a devoted growing grass roots following while resisting a well- coordinated effort by his own party elite conservatives to “off” him out of a race, has turned a normal presidential primary race into an almost insurmountable feat which I might add has tested and reflected the honorable character of this man. Add to it the split in the evangelical vote due to the daily trash bites against him from Fox News and you have a recipe for Republican party stupidity that would amount to trashing their best candidate. Rush Limbaugh doesn’t have to talk about Mike possibly trashing the party when he and his other conservative followers like Sean Hannity are doing a pretty good job of it themselves! If anyone is participating in class warfare, it’s the Romney party elites. Yes the conservative icons that we all know and love, the ones who have done so much good up until now are precisely the ones, not Huckabee, that are going to ruin everything due to their own arrogance. They tried to keep a good man down because he came from the humble origins in Arkansas, one who associates with the lower struggling class of American people that they don’t have to associate with unless it is to control their vote! After all, control of the party machine is really what is at the bottom of this candidate bias. The elitists have had party control and the thought of losing it to someone who would find a support base among “commoners” which might take over the party machine, is more than they can handle. They could barely tolerate a Reagan Revolution but a Huckalution, that would be too much! So who are the real ones engaging in “class warfare, hmm?”
Which one of their candidates has signed an Immigration Pledge?
Which one of their candidates has signed a pledge to make the Bush tax cuts permanent?
Which one of their candidates pledged to bring a pro life and marriage amendment to the constitution?
Huckabee has already said he would appoint Duncan Hunter as Secretary of Defense. That ought to prove his resolve for a strong defense and foreign policy.
Who is the only one who has talked about abolishing the IRS and truly free up the economy as well as trade?
Which one of these candidates has been a 3 TERM GOVERNOR?
Which one of these took a 250 million dollar deficit and turned into a 850 million dollar surplus by the time he left office?
I could go on with more but you can find more at the the links below!
There is so much about this man that we have timely been deprived of knowing because the Romney paid for news media have done their best to keep it from us. For instance, all the debates were designed to marginalize Huckabee even down to the seating arrangements, using Ron Paul as their boundary “fence” to keep Huckabee from getting any camera time or jumping into the fray with John and Mitt . As long as they could keep Huck at the end, the media could marginalize both Paul and Huckabee from the American public. Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and the conservative radio pundits in their efforts to push a disinformation campaign to get Huckabee to drop out could back fire on all of them.
As a long time evangelical conservative, I am ashamed at the lengths these guys have stooped to. Actions like this to control the outcome of an election, is nothing more than what we see in third world nations, definitely not befitting American democracy. Republicans can no longer talk about dirty Democratic party tactics because they now have stained themselves with it.
It seems like the ones that should be marginalized are the party elites and their candidates for their controlling and manipulative behavior. You can do that by voting for the better man, former Governor Mike Huckabee, a true and honest conservative, perhaps the only one who will truly remember where he comes from and where you come from, one who won’t forget you in Washington, D.C.
